Want to learn how to create a zine? Come along to this zine-making workshop with Zoe Thompson, founder of sweet-thang zine. This session will be a chance to sit and play – experimenting with materials to create your own mini-zines/artworks that you can gift to others or use as the basis of your own independent publication!
Zines are mini mixed-media publications spanning any and every theme. Rooted in the DIY revolution of radical publishing, zines are traditionally self-published, non-profit, “anti-authority” and have their roots in the realm of fanfiction, (producing the word “fanzine” from which zines derive!) Zines can be anything you want them to be, and their tactile nature is what makes them so magical.
