Further Education

Our programme for post-16 education encourages a continued sense of curiosity; opportunities for experimenting and risk taking; and active participation.

MK College

MK Gallery is very excited to be working with MK College’s Level 3 Applied General Extended Diploma in Art & Design students on Project 2: MK Gallery: Laura Knight Costume Box.

In November 2021 students visited the exhibition and received their brief from the team. They are now researching, designing and constructing outfits for our family audiences to explore in January and February 2022. The costumes will be available in our Learning Spaces and we will be offering families a chance to evaluate the outfits. These evaluations will be given to the students and it will provide them with real life audience feedback.

MK Gallery is proud to be able to offer these learning experiences to schools and colleges. If you have a project that you would like to discuss with our tram please contact us.

Platform Graduate Exhibition

The Platform Graduate Award supports emerging graduate artistic talent to further their practice following graduation. Each year, final year students from regional universities are selected to take part in a group exhibition in MK Gallery’s Project Space. From this, one student is selected to represent the South East region and be in with a chance of winning the Platform Graduate Award.
